These pendants are created around two antique mother of pearl Chinese gaming counters. These gaming counters were handcrafted by artisans in China from 1700 to 1840 and were used in scoring and bidding in card games. The mother of pearl pieces are wafer thin, which makes it all the more astonishing that they were carved on both sides…AND survived intact for nearly 200 years! The pendants were created by one of our local jewelry artists and are set on .925 sterling silver.
